Following the preliminary discovery meeting, we strategically identified the core features to be included in the project's MVP, while also outlining functionalities for subsequent phases. One pivotal aspect we addressed was the intricate mechanics of the learning games, encompassing over ten variables for diverse user interactions during the learning process. While maintaining budget considerations, we carefully selected essential elements for the MVP, while postponing features like one-on-one chats to later phases for a well-balanced and effective launch.
The layout and implementation of the learning module design challenges the conventions of traditional learning applications. Our approach prioritises user autonomy by avoiding rigid learning paths. Instead, users have the freedom to explore multiple learning avenues. Upon completion, users are rewarded, and these rewards unlock additional learning categories. This unique approach empowers users to customise their learning experience, fostering a more engaging and personalised journey.
A vital aspect in retaining user engagement on the platform revolved around enhancing interactions during the learning process. A key enhancement was made to the CTA’s, which were transformed into a gamified style. This revamp streamlined user efficiency, positioning essential elements strategically. To enrich the user experience, various states were introduced between questions, featuring success, error, and correct answer states. Each state has a distinct card fill which were enriched with bold brand colours, providing visual variety and enhancing the engagement between questions.
To foster a deeper connection with their cultural heritage, I integrated concise interconnecting stories and insightful facts at the conclusion of each modules lesson. These additions not only boosted user engagement but also offered a unique value proposition compared to other competing apps. By intertwining relevant narratives and facts with each module, users gained a richer understanding of their culture, setting Cyprusays apart as a distinctive and enriching learning platform.
Creating the UI design involved developing a comprehensive design system that encapsulates multiple states for components and inputs. This design system serves as a foundation for maintaining consistency and coherence throughout the application, ensuring a seamless and polished user experience. By carefully defining various states for each component and input, I aimed to enhance user interaction and feedback, making the application more intuitive and user-friendly.
In addition to the UI design for the main application, the project also involved creating a captivating landing page to register initial user interest and a persuasive pitch deck to seek investment from potential stakeholders. These design components played a crucial role in establishing a cohesive and impactful brand presence for the project.
